Is this normal.
Full disclosure. I work in VIC and it’s my second year of fully licensed teaching. I’ve recently been made permanent. Since then my boss has been increasingly negative to me. I’ve tried to clarify how to handle violent behaviour. I’ve followed incidents at recess that have spilled into my classroom. I’ve emailed all details thinking I’ve done the right thing
But my boss came to room in front of my class and berated me in front of the kids saying “they don’t have times for this” and to check who was on the behaviour management schedule.
I’ve tried to work around this so I have to check the schedule prior to asking for help to who is on call out of him and other admin.
Prior to this I accidentally cracked my laptop screen. I was scared to tell anyone as I was so embarrassed. I told IT … and thought they’d say if I needed to tell my manager. 6 weeks later my boss berated me prior to a staff meeting in front of others saying I needed to tell him and that I’ve effected the overall budget.
Is this normal. Am I out of line ?
