marketing to nursing

i’m not sure where the right subreddit to post this would be, but i’m hoping to receive some feedback from nursing students, nurses, or anyone with advice really. i’m a student at the university of cincinnati and i entered as a marketing major, i’ve been super uncertain with this major, but rode it out my first year. after a lot of reflecting, research, and some shadowing i’ve decided nursing is what i want to pursue. i’m just very uncertain of what to do, my freshman year i obviously took marketing related classes, and got 0 pre reqs for uc’s nursing program done, which is also super competive to get into. i know it would be nearly impossible to cram all the pre reqs to enter the program into my sophomore year. i know cramming is not necessary but i would prefer to not make me bachelors degreee any longer than 5 years. i know a lot of people are gonna say to go to community college or something of the sorts but im pretty certain on wanting to stay at uc as i’ve built a good college life for myself here. ive considered pursing a degree in something healthcare related and then just pursue an absn when i graduate, or should i just work on getting my bsn now. forgive me for sound clueless on this, but i truly am and would love any guidance or advice. i’m a first gen, and trying to navigate this all on my own has been so difficult, so thank to anyone who responds!

campus safety?

hi!! i just finished up my freshman year at uc, but lived at home. i’m obviously very familiar with cincinnati as i grew up about 30 minutes away from the city, but my senior year i made the mistake of procrastinating college applications, and didn’t find out i got into my other schools of interest, till after i committed to uc. now don’t get me wrong i love uc, but recently ive just been getting thrown off my the campus. visiting my friends who go to miami makes me wish i went there purely because of the safe campus. i dont even live on campus, but next year i am and im starting to become a little concerned. anytime i go out at uc it’s pretty scary, theres so many homeless people and people with weapons by the college bars and stuff. and trust me i know thats what u get choosing a school in the city im well aware i guess im just starting to regret choosing this school. i’m always very safe and a very paranoid person but my apartment is about a 10 minutes walk away from campus, im just getting worried now, because a couple nights ago i went out and it was pretty rough down there.
