Personally, I seem to be characterologically incapable of running a game with the rules as written. I run Dungeons & Dragons using Cortex Prime, Vampire: The Masquerade using Urban Shadows, and Shadowrun using Fate Condensed. I wonder how common my neurosis is.

How frequently do you modify (or even wholly substitute) the rules of the games you run?

How would you tell a complete story in only, say, six sessions?
