Ever seen Say Yes to the Dress? I work as a bridal stylist. AMA
Bridal stylist here. I have spent years helping brides find “the dress,” navigating family drama, budget shock, last-minute panic, and those magical crying-in-the-fitting-room moments that somehow end with applause. Think less TV fantasy, more controlled chaos in heels.
I’ve seen almost everything: the sweet moments, the brutal honesty, the entourage disasters, the dresses people regret, and the ones nobody expected to love. AMA about bridal appointments, wedding dress shopping, behind-the-scenes salon culture, or what those reality shows do (and don’t) get right. I do not work in alterations but I do work hand in hand with alterations. I've seen something disasters and some absolute Master work. Was it something I've seen myself or other Consultants mess up or the bride mess up?
Want advice from someone on this side of the counter as: someone in the Entourage , someone as the bride, someone as Mom or relation to the bride, or any type of shopping issues that comes with formal events?
