I work in a chain hair salon and we are franchised. A coworker decided to take issue with me and the first time she verbally assaulted me was 4/17. I was already packing up to leave and didn't 'fight' back. I notified my mgr as soon as I got home. The next day the same coworker was running her mouth in an attempt to antagonize me, but I didn't bite. When I spoke to our GM on 4/20, I found out the coworker had contacted her that day and lied about the situation. Anytime I've had to work with her since, I've acted as if she doesn't exist. I've been told by the mgr that she's handling it.

This morning the coworker verbally assaulted me again and much worse and I was able to get 97-98% of it recorded on my phone. I still ignored the coworker the entire time. I sent the recording to my mgr and GM saying that I wanted her terminated or I was leaving. My mgr arrived, I went into the office with her and with my GM on speaker phone I was told the HR person with our franchise had been notified and they'd investigate. So I could go home or go to another location for the rest of my shift. Also to let them know what I want to do about my schedule moving forward until the investigation is done.

Is this right?!? Why do I feel as if I'm the one being assaulted and punished?!?
