My girlfriend of nearly 3years has lied to me and it has really shaken me.
We live together at her moms temporarily (1month) and yesterday she wanted to visit her dad while I was working and sleep there.
We said goodnight by messages but I had a strong and odd intuition, I went on and looked at her messages even though I didn’t like the idea of doing it, and I found some messages of her and her ex chatting about meeting in a place to “talk” AFTER she had told me by messages about heading to bed.
He initiated it, and I know that guy, he’s still not over her 10years prior their relationship.
Honestly this horrified me, I followed their conversation and she had apparently gotten home, her ex sent her texts such as “I know that deep down I’m special to you”, her answers were always short and platonic, and maybe it was just a talk. Still I am disgusted and don’t know what I should do here.
I am panicked and I feel like I could snap so I really need advice here.
Mind you that she had made stupid lies that sort of had eroded my trust, since then we really connected more and I regained trust in her, just why do this now… I don’t get it…
Any help is appreciated, I am living with her family at the moment and it’s hell to come through this.
