I am looking at buying two scooters. One for my son, who is 9 going on 10, and one for me. For the weight, I am around 205 pounds. The scooters will be used mostly on city streets and sidewalks. There are 15 to 20 miles of bike paths in town that these will also be used on to get the entire loop. Currently, I am looking at around the 500-dollar range. I live in the US, so I would rather not purchase something that needs to be shipped overseas.
A couple of models that stand out are the Navee G3 series and the Segway E3 or the E2 series. Is there a reason to stay away from these brands? Is one of these better than the others? Or is there a different manufacturer?
EDIT: So I think I will be getting the GT3 MAX. Now, for my son, I am looking for something that will get him between 15 and 20 miles of riding, as that is what his friends are riding. With this in mind, what are the options for him?
