Okay, so, someone texted me asking if we could be “text buddies” (strictly texting) and offered to pay me 500 dollars weekly. I agreed but now im worried that when she “pays” me, shes to contact the bank and try to say it was fraud or something? (She lives in the USA) Its my first time doing this, and i was going to just ask her to pay me through paypal.
But ive heard that people go into debt because they have spent the money and the bank charges them 2x as much? I dont know, i feel anxious but i dont know if this is a scam or not. She says shes 31 and wants to support me, i havent given any REAL information about myself.
I was never planning on telling her any banking information or anything. My friends and other people online have said they get money from strangers and make them send it on paypal as friends/family, because its unlikely for PayPal to give back the money.
I have a screenshot of her saying she would give me the money incase she contacts support and claims anything. BUT i dont want to risk it all so i need advice. I know there are losers on discord who do anything. (Nothing inappropriate will happen, i told her already i wasnt willing to do anything besides talk about our days.)
