Help! I bought a home a year and a half ago and it is flush with masterfully crafted perennials everywhere. Front and back yard have flowers blooming at all times. One round dies, another is already blooming. The problem: I have zero idea what I’m doing. I really want to do this yard justice. Can anyone point me to some good beginners videos/blogs/ and preferably TikTok etc accounts. Some, but not all, concerns: I have a hard time identifying weeds and often worry I’m pulling out perennials that just look like weeds? I have PlantNet but it doesn’t always give me what I need. Ground cover? I can’t tell if the multiple types were intentional or not? The woman who owned the house sent me a few photos when I first purchased and some look more manicured with less ground cover but she planted it so idk? It feels intrusive to get ahold of her again. How do I easily clear the last round of now dead flowers? I feel like I’m spending way more time weeding etc than I should be and I don’t want to waste my time (even though I enjoy spending time on it). And many more!
The pictures attached are photos old owner sent me. I would’ve paid to have a step by step tutorial on how she use to prep/maintain from start to finish.
