Hey guys,

I have a 2017 Hyundai Elantra Limited, and yesterday I hit a pretty rough pothole. Immediately after that, I got:

ABS light ON

Traction Control light ON

EBD warning light ON

Car drives fine otherwise, no issues with braking feel, battery is new and alternator is good.

I went to a local lube shop for a quick diagnostic, and they mentioned something about an “ABS motor code” — but didn’t give me the exact code number.

From what I understand:

A pothole impact is more likely to damage a wheel speed sensor or wiring, not the ABS module/pump itself

Before I take it to a shop, wanted to check with you guys:

👉 Has anyone experienced similar issues after hitting a pothole?

👉 Did it turn out to be just a sensor/wiring or something bigger?

👉 Should I be concerned about ABS module failure here, or is that unlikely?

I’m planning to get a proper ABS scan done to pull the exact code before replacing anything.

Appreciate any insights 🙏
