got a golden retriever and the amount of hair in my apartment is out of control. i vacuum what feels like every other day and i still find clumps of fur in corners i just cleaned. i'm starting to think my current vacuum just isn't built for this level of shedding and i need something that picks up dog hair properly rather than just pushing it around.

the things i care about most are suction that works on both hard floors and rugs, something that isn't hard to empty and clean, and ideally not something so heavy and bulky that i dread getting it out. anyone here got something that actually keeps up with a heavy shedder without becoming a part time job in itself?
