Hello, my mrf2-6cl started acting up about 2 weeks ago. The symptoms were as if someone was playing with the dimmer. Sometimes like it was a slight adjustment and then staying at that intensity for minutes on end. Other times it was like a party.

This is for my basement where I already use smart bulbs (mrf2-6cl came with the house) and my bulbs keep going into factory reset mode due to the power going in and out. I had enough and I bought a Maestro MACL-153MH to fix the problem. Or so I thought.

While this swap fixed the symptoms, the MACL-153MH isn't wireless. My bad, I never thought to inspect - I just assumed. I didn't know this was Maestro until yesterday. I didn't even know the light switch at the top of my basement stairs was a remote - and I've lived here 9 years. Always assumed it was just a very fancy button. Had no reason to try and pop it out of the wall mount. That was $40 down the drain.

The problem with the MACL-153MH then is that I can't turn on my basement lights without walking all the way down the basement stairs, in the dark, to reach the switch. This isn't going to work for my family. It is too risky and dangerous.

I could spend the money on what I think will work but I thought I would ask here first. Since I have smart bulbs - I really have no reason for the dimmer functionality.

Is there a Lutron switch that can pair with the Pico remote I already have, without a dimmer functionality, and without the requirement of a hub / smart device?

Odds are it doesn't cost much less so I'm thinking that even when I have an answer from the community, I will likely be steered towards the Lowe's link above.
