New York trip

Hey everyone ✈️
I’m planning my first trip to New York in spring next year and I’ll be staying for 9 nights. I already know I’ll do the classic tourist attractions, but I really want to experience the city more like a local.
I’m looking for recommendations for:
cool neighborhoods with that classic Sex and the City vibe
trendy cafés, cocktail bars, brunch spots & rooftop places locals actually go to
vintage/designer thrift stores and hidden fashion gems
bookstores, jazz bars, speakeasies, art spots, cute streets etc.
things to do at night besides the usual tourist stuff
underrated places that tourists usually miss
best way to visit major attractions without wasting too much money/time
tips for getting around the city
areas that are best/safest to stay in for a first-time visitor
I’d also love hotel/Airbnb recommendations — something stylish, good location, not insanely expensive if possible 😅
So far I’m interested in areas like SoHo, West Village, Williamsburg, Chelsea and the Upper East Side because they seem very SATC-coded, but I’d love honest opinions from people who know NYC well.
Any recommendations, hidden gems, restaurant lists, itineraries or general NYC survival tips are very welcome 🤍

First luxury bag

Hello everyone, I’m buying my first designer bag and I’d love some advice. I want something that works with both casual everyday outfits and more elegant/special occasion looks. My style changes a lot, so I’m looking for a bag that can adapt to different aesthetics and still look timeless years from now.
I don’t want something that’s super trendy now but will feel outdated in 2–3 years.
Right now I’m choosing between:
Louis Vuitton Madeleine
LV Pochette Métis
YSL Loulou Small
Fendi Baguette
Which one do you think is the best long-term option and why?

Tomorrow I’m going to Paris and I’m looking for the best restaurants/bistros with traditional food and a romantic interior that aren’t tourist traps, but real places with excellent food and wine where you can experience authentic French cuisine. Budget is up to around €100 per person.
