Hi all,

Long time lurker but posting now as I’m actually looking at selling my car and trying to figure out the best way to go about it.

I have a 2019 Mercedes C180d and I got offered around €18k trade-in recently after trying one of those sites where dealers can bid on your car. Most of the offers seemed to land around that mark (16-18 range)

From what I can see on car sites though, similar ones are up for around €23k-ish retail retail, so I can’t really tell if that’s a fair offer or if I’m leaving money on the table.

I get they need to service it, warranty it etc, but €4-5k ish margin just seems like a lot?

I don't want to deal with tire kickers privately, so just trying to sanity check if that kind of gap is normal or if I should be pushing for more. Maybe I am just being naive!

Appreciate any advice 👍
