What are my steps to lay tile in this bathroom. I see joists under the wood. Can I lay schluter then tile ? Or lay plywood then schluter and tile. I would like to keep the floor height down

Just bought my first house and I’m remodeling the bathroom. My question is, can I lay my schluter on top of this wood ? I have floor joists under this wood. Or what do you recommend?
