Friend suddenly avoiding having me at her house?
I have a friend who usually has me over at her house, usually at least 1 or 2 times a week. I learned pretty early on she doesn't like leaving her house so I need to visit her if I want to see her.
Lately her behavior changed and I don't know if I should ask her about it. Suddenly it seems like she doesn't want me to come over to her house. At first it hurt my feelings, but I don't think it's the friendship. Recently we got pedicures. She paid for it, then said "I guess I'll get a ride home". I said I could drive her home because it's only a couple blocks away. Then suddenly she said "I'll just walk home". It was strange because she hates walking.
Then I said I wanted to have a meeting with her about the volunteer work we do together (usually I come over for that too). And she said we can go out for lunch and have a working meeting.
I would feel like she is pushing me away, only it's her birthday next week and she wants to go out to dinner with just me.
I can't stop wondering what it is. Maybe her ex moved back in with her? Should I ask her or is it none of my business?
