I remember a few years back that the Australian consulate would have staff travel throughout the US and set up temporary passport interview locations. My city was visited every year, but looking now at the website and social feed, this doesn't seem to be happening as much, but it's hard to tell. There's a temporary location in Texas coming up, but the social feed didn't mention it and the list of "past locations" ends in 2023. Is this something that is still happening but not publicized, or has it mostly stopped? Trying to figure out whether to wait or to travel to my nearest city (headache for me as I've got young kids). I need to apply in person as I've changed my name.
