I had issues with fragmented highlights because the footage was being automatically debayered to Rec.709 in the Photo Section of DR 21 beta. You can change this in the RAW tab in DaVinci Resolve.

Switching the Potos to S-Log3 and using a CST workflow gave me much better results. The highlight roll-off became noticeably smoother.

I couldn’t find a way in the beta to bulk change RAW settings or set a default input color space, but if you’re dealing with broken or harsh highlights, transforming from a log curve seems to handle them much better.
