Just passed thru CBP and as we’re approaching the CBP area the line for US citizens stops meanwhile the line for non citizens continues. My wife and are about third and fourth in line.
The “supervisor” is fumbling with a small hand-held device and orders the two agents assisting with facial scanners to stop. He leaves and comes back with a small case and I see him opening it and retrieves a device that looks like those radiation detectors you see in movies. He’s playing with it and once done, he walks towards us in the line of US citizens with device in hand. He goes about ten feet beyond us and turns around. He then goes to the case and puts the device away. Our line is still not moving while the other one hasn’t stopped.
He then walks directly towards me and asks if I’ve recently had “any medical procedure or a stress test”. I reply with “Was that for me?”, referring to the device/detector. He then repeats the question, but now to both my wife and I. We both reply with a no and he walks away and orders that the clearance procedures restart.
ANYBODY HAVE A CLUE WHAT THIS WAS ABOUT?!
