An email analytics tool exposed a problem I didn’t know my team had
Last month I got frustrated because a client said we were slow to respond. That confused me because everyone on my team kept saying inbox coverage was fine. After digging through old threads manually, I realized certain emails were sitting untouched way longer than I expected, especially on weekends. Now I’m wondering if other teams actually track response behavior regularly or only look into it after a client complains.
Has anyone added 811 ticket reporting requirements into project bid specs before?
We’re working on a downtown streetscape bid package with a ton of existing utilities packed into a small area. I suggested adding a requirement that contractors provide weekly updates showing active 811 tickets and status before excavation work. One of my partners thinks that’s going too far and says contractors will just raise pricing because of the extra admin work. I can see both sides honestly.

Best bid qualification software for smaller teams?
We’re a lean team and can’t afford to bid on things we have a 10% chance of winning. We need a way to score opportunities quickly based on our past performance and compliance.

Compliance automation for daily safety logs
Foremen are supposed to fill daily safety logs and equipment checks, but it happens on paper or not at all. Before an audit we scramble to recreate logs.
I need a text at start of shift with a mobile form, photo proof of hazards, and alerts if not submitted by 10am. If a hazard is marked, create a ticket and notify safety. At month end I need a full export for records. Crews won’t use a new app. It has to be SMS or dead simple. Paper isn’t cutting it for compliance.
Who usually ends up responsible for 811 tickets on your projects?
On our projects, the 811 ticket often starts with engineering, passes to the superintendent, shows up in a group email, and then eventually makes it to the crew. The problem is, with that many handoffs, it’s pretty easy for details to get missed. Things like revisions or “do not dig” notes don’t always make it all the way through, especially when everything’s split across emails, attachments, and random threads. I’ve been trying to figure out if this is just how it goes, or if other teams have a cleaner way of handling it.
Are AI SEO services actually useful for small business growth?
Are AI SEO services actually useful for small business growth?
I run a small business and have been trying to improve our online visibility without hiring a full seo team. Recently, I’ve been seeing a lot of AI SEO services that promise to automate everything from keyword research to content creation.
It sounds great in theory, especially given limited resources, but I’m skeptical about whether it actually works in practice. I don’t just want traffic, I want the right kind of traffic that converts.
Has anyone here used AI SEO services specifically for a small business? Did it help you grow sustainably, or was it just short-term gains?

Need a reliable intraoral sensor for a busy office
Our current intraoral sensor is on its last leg. It overheats by 11am, starts giving us snowy images, and then we have to let it rest for 20 minutes. Meanwhile patients are waiting and the doctor is breathing down my neck.
We see 40+ patients a day and need something that can handle back-to-back FMS and bitewings without tapping out. What intraoral sensor can actually keep up with a high-volume GP office?

I’ve recently started taking on more high-ticket commercial cleaning contracts, including post-construction cleanups and biohazard remediation. My insurance company is now asking me about contractor license verification for any specialized subcontractors I bring in to help with the heavy lifting.
I used to just take people at their word, but with these bigger contracts, the liability is huge. If a sub isn't actually licensed for hazardous waste disposal or general contracting, I'm the one who gets sued if something goes wrong.
Checking these manually on the state’s slow website is taking hours away from my actual sales and operations. Does anyone have a faster way to verify these licenses?
