I'm looking for a progressive synagogue in Brooklyn to start my conversion process.
I'm in my mid twenties, and have been wanting to convert for about four years now. I'm a bit shy and not used to organized religion, but I feel really drawn to Judaism. I'm looking for a synagogue that is relatively progressive: supports and welcomes the LGBTQ+ community, is open to all viewpoints on Israel/Palestine, welcomes multifaith relationships, and doesn't subscribe to/enforce strict gender roles.
I've been looking at B'ShERT and Kolot Chayeinu. If anyone has any experiences with these synagogues, or can recommend another one, I would be very grateful.
