I am 21 will be starting a travel job with an 80k salary in May that would require me to book the travel accommodations and receive reimbursement. I want to get a credit card with the best cash back/rewards for my travel. Before this job offer, I was a college student and made less than 10k a year, so I am unsure who will approve me since I don't have pay stubs yet. I plan to use any rewards I acquire on person travel.

I have heard that the best cards on the market are the Capital One Venture X (especially in combination with the Capital One Savor Card), the Citi Strata Premier, Citi Custom Cash, but I don't know if there is better/how hard these cards are to get. Any help/advice would be appreciated!

Template for Card Recommendation Requests:

  • Current credit cards you are the primary account holder of: Quicksilver, Capital One card with a $2000 limit 3/2025, and a $500 emergency line of credit with my credit union that I opened when I turned 18 (opened around July 2023)
  • FICO Score: Capital 1 provided me a FICO score of 765
  • Number of personal credit cards approved for in the past 24 months: 1 (the Capital One card)
  • Annual income: 80k
