So...

I have this lovely pair of Q750.

My plan was to get a WIIM Ultra preamp/streamer linked to an Emotiva BasX A2+. A friend of mine tells me that a WIIM amp ultra would do the same job for half the price.

I know WIIM is a divisive brand. What do we think? Would the Emotiva 's bigger power supply bring out the best out of those speakers or would the WIIM ultra be enough?

We're talking normal setting: Untreated living room.
