Over the last year I've gotten pretty into watches and I think it's rubbing off on my nephew. For his birthday I'm uncertain on what I should get him. Right now I'm looking at the Swatch Fifty Fathoms, the Moonswatch, and the G-Shock DW5000R-1A. I'm not looking to spend any more than the Blancpain Swatch but am open to other suggestions.
Blancpain X Swatch: My first luxury watch and by far my favorite watch is my Seamaster 300m 2531.80, which he has seen me wear and comments on how cool he thinks it is. Probably a bit much to get him for his 13th though lol. This would give him a diver like mine at a significantly lower price. He also wants to become a rescue diver so I feel this matches his career interest as well. One last plus, the on pictured is the Atlantic Ocean variant, which we live right next to.
Moonswatch: He's always loved astronomy so I think that he would get a kick out of having something modeled after the first watch worn on the moon. Additionally, it's kind of an Omega so we could have that in common.
G-Shock DW5000R-1A: This is my workout/ beater watch and I don't believe he has ever seen me wear it as of yet. However I think he would get a kick out of both the history of it and if I was wearing the same one, when I give it to him.
Others: I'm also thinking about maybe a Seiko SKX due to the quality for the price but he hates metal on his skin and there is no other connection like the above. Maybe a Bulova Lunar Pilot Archive Series, which is a bit more than I want to pay but it would be an actual moon watch. I am open to all opinions and any other suggestions
