I’ve been seeing a lot of people planning to do an MBA just because “it gives a high salary.”
But honestly, I feel it’s not that simple anymore.
MBA can still be worth it — but only if you make the right choices.
From what I’ve seen, your outcome mostly depends on a few things:
- What role you end up getting (marketing, sales, analytics, etc.)
- How good your college placements actually are (not just the highest package they show)
- Your own skills and effort during those 2 years
A lot of students ignore ROI completely.
Spending 15–20 lakhs without proper placement support can honestly backfire.
If someone is planning an MBA, I think they should check:
- What kind of roles the college offers
- The average package (not just the top one)
- Internship and exposure opportunities
- Alumni network and connections
Also, talking to current students helps way more than trusting rankings online.
Just my thoughts.
What’s your experience or opinion on this? Worth it or not?
