I got a new phone and the first thing I do download RetroArch, obvs.

I decided to install version 1.21.0, because scanning for content appears to crash RetroArch on both PC and Android. And I get everything set and yet I notice that I don't get any notification that any patch has been applied when loading my games, and when playing the game (with say, a translation patch) I notice that it effectively has not been patched at all.

Is there something I'm missing? I don't recall having any issues with my old phone.
