I am looking to get my first ADV motorcycle and I am relatively certain I want a Honda Transalp 750. I have sat on one and am very comfortable with the size and weight while the Africa Twin felt a bit too heavy and bit too large to be practical. There are a number of features the AT has that I want on the Transalp such as tubeless tires, cruise control, and a more functional suspension.

I am considering the following build

Alpina wheels

cc

Ohlins ST46 rear /Ohlins NIX30 front

lithium ion battery swap

Yoshimura rear fender

transalp adv grab handles

Center stand removal

Akrapovic headers and exhaust

ECU tune

double take mirrors

bark busters

as3 crash bar

as3 rad cover

as3 skid

some lighter weight bottom crash bar if i can find one.

I will do most of the labor myself but estimate the build will cost somewhere over 21k usd. This is well over the price of the AT but for a similar power to weight ratio in a much more manageable package. It still will not match the AT off road but will feel better for me. Is this a worthwhile path to take or should I simply be looking at another motorcycle to achieve this result? Is there anything very wrong with my planned build? I am very new to this so I am sure I am making a multitude of errors so any advice or criticism you can provide would be much appreciated. Thank you.
