Using steroid cream but it’s not helping. Appeared a few days into having a cold. Worried as it keeps multiplying.

Feeling very panicky as I’ve never had this before (and had plenty of colds in my life). What could this be?

At this point, I’ve almost recovered from the cold (have some mild congestion and random cough left), so not sure if this could be a sign of something else.

Went to a GP yesterday and was told it’ll go away on its own though prescribed Delphi 0.1% (steroid/eczema cream). Applied it yesterday night and today in the morning, and they’ve only multiplied since then.
