So the LiDAR is basically useless… I honestly don’t know why it even has LiDAR if it has the intelligence of a vacuum robot from the 90s.
I just spent over an hour trying, unsuccessfully, to remap a single area. In that time I could have mapped the whole terrain 5 times. The problem is that this “super smart AI” thing keeps driving about 50 cm past the boundaries every single time and gets stuck on the slope that I explicitly excluded. What if there was a house or a wall there? Would it just drive past the boundary as well?
Oh yeah, and when remapping it spins around like 20 times with zero awareness… it almost fell down a 2 meter drop. Amazing intelligence!
The new omni wheels are also a complete joke for slopes… on every incline it just slides sideways thanks to this “great technology”.
And let’s not forget: even the cheapest crappy vacuum robots let you set no-go zones with your finger in the app. Not here… I have to physically drive them. Great idea – except it slides sideways on the slope and you can’t even set a no-go zone properly along an edge like the one I mentioned.
It’s so fucking frustrating that my phone ended up flying across the garden. I mapped about 50% of a section just for it to spin around 20 times and then tell me “saving failed”.
A lot of room for improvement… it might work for flat gardens, but for slopes (which it’s literally advertised for) it’s honestly embarrassing.
