Hi everyone,

I graduated in 2019 with a BBA from a reputed college in Mumbai. After that, I returned to my hometown and started my own venture. Over the last few years, I’ve been able to grow it to a profitable stage, handling everything end-to-end — operations, client management, and revenue generation (around 18 LPA).

However, due to unavoidable family circumstances, I won’t be able to continue with the business going forward.

I’m now considering pursuing an MBA and transitioning into a corporate role, but I have a few concerns:

  1. Will my entrepreneurial experience be valued by top MBA colleges during admissions, or will the lack of formal corporate experience be a disadvantage?

  2. During placements, do companies typically consider candidates with only entrepreneurial experience, or is corporate work experience strongly preferred?

For context, my academic scores are:

10th: 85%

12th: 70%

Graduation CGPA: 2.96/4.00

I’d really appreciate honest insights, especially from people who’ve been in similar situations or are currently in MBA programs.

Thanks in advance!
