Hey all—long-time lurker here looking for some input.

I’m working with a CFI candidate who’s a solid pilot in a student/solo role, but tends to get overwhelmed when combining teaching + flying + navigating + communicating. When task saturation sets in, they start making simple mistakes that they normally wouldn’t.

They’ve already completed their initial CFI and have a few hours of dual given, and are now working toward CFII (trying to get a CFI job cause its saturated down here). I’d like to help them build better task management and avoid getting overloaded in the cockpit.

For those of you who’ve worked with similar candidates, what techniques or training strategies have you found effective? I’ve heard “it comes with time" from some of the other instructors I've asked but I’d love to be more intentional in helping them improve.

Appreciate any insight—thanks!
