GAM and prejudice
Hello.
I have gathered supporting documentation for an illness GAM category, however my psychiatrist has detailed an extensive history of lifelong anxiety disorders that seem quite intense and severe. I am applying for medicine, and I am wondering if this will actually negativley impact my application. I am absolutley capable of future studies etc as i have this anxiety under control, however I can imagine that seeing the psychiatrist letter may make it seem like I might be severly impacted by anxiety. I cannot ask her to edit her letter without incurring a large fee for another appt. Would it be safer just to not apply for the GAM? I have heard that they assess your ability to even complete PG studies based on your GAM. Any advice appreciated.
