I just returned from our first team gathering in about a year and a half, and it truly made me realize how much I appreciate the peace of mind that remote work gives me, safe behind my screen, away from office squabbles and problems.
I feel like we don't talk enough about how much more focused and productive women can be when they truly feel safe in their workplace. This safety is often absent when you're dealing with harassment or provocative behavior from certain male colleagues after any evening event with a lot of drinks. This really drains your energy and focus.
Honestly, I hadn't thought about this particular aspect much since I started working from home permanently. But this recent trip was a strong reminder of why this advantage is much more important than just saving commute time or having a flexible work schedule. Is anyone else feeling this way too?

Honestly, it drives me crazy when I hear someone say, "I'd be bored to death without my job." Are you serious?! Not me at all.
I have an endless list of things I want to do, even if it's just hiking or playing video games.
Seriously, go learn a new skill, learn a musical instrument, travel anywhere, volunteer, literally do anything.
It's like their entire identity is tied to their career and they'd be lost without it.
Fine, since you love it so much, give me your salary and I'll go enjoy life for the both of us. My goodness!
