Tonight in the break room a crane operator was laying into a green roughneck who apparently wasn’t answering his radio. Green guy proceeds to offer up every excuse and fuss about the conditions until the operator told him to stay in the accommodations.

How many of the stories of guys getting run off are due to someone not taking a lump? Seems like a “my mistake, help me make sure it doesn’t happen again” would have settled it in a moment and he’d be out working right now.
