Female, 32, 5’5”, 190 lbs. Non smoker, overall healthy, and not on any medications.

I’ve been dealing with chronic skin splitting/fissures in my vulvar/perineal area, sometimes extending toward the buttocks area. The skin gets extremely itchy, irritated, and painful, especially at night. The fissures seem to happen repeatedly, heal slowly, and are almost always in the same spots.

I’ve had two children, both under 3, and this never happened before having kids.

Has anyone experienced something similar or been diagnosed with something that caused chronic fissures/splitting like this? I’m wondering what kind of doctor I should see or what conditions I should ask about.
