Been a while since I've used this bike, put maybe >100 miles on it after buying it during covid. Since then it's sat upstairs. No upgrades have been done to it beyond changing the saddle.
I'm looking to upgrade it instead of buying a new bike and wanted to see what would be most worth upgrading or if I should bother. Complete noob regarding bikes like these but will only be riding this on mostly flat paved walking paths, not a lot of climbing at all. Also going to schedule a bike fit with a reputable fitter
For upgrades, I'm looking at:
- Groupset to Shimano 105 R7120
- Tires to Continental Grand Prix 5000 S TR
- New bar tape, new pedals
- If I stick with cycling for a season, I'll upgrade the wheels next year and am willing to spend for them, but that's research for another time
Any advice or suggestions? Also when hunting down a full groupset, do I need to purchase anything else? For the groupset, I'm looking at EuroBike. Also any suggestions on brakes?
