My friend is doing a rewatch and just txted me that Mulder was being a real jerk towards Scully during their conversation at the end of the episode. I had to explain to her that Mulder is hurt and frustrated that Scully is shutting him out about the progression of her cancer. To me it was a very important moment in their relationship. The intense look of fear and sadness they give each other. It’s the unspoken emotional bond these two have for each other just goes up another level in this heartbreaking yet beautiful arc imo. Would love to hear what yall think of the scene…

Hi. Im fairly new to the reddit community and honestly I didnt know how much of a crazy fandom there still is after all these years. The show premiered when I was just a kid but I did for the most part watch the important episodes. As much as I could understand what going on and know well enough all that Scully went through. I remember thinking "Damn this is one tough ass woman! NOTHING knocks her down" She was honestly kinda of an inspiration to me. I held onto that type of strength and perseverance that she had and I applied it to my life pretty much.
As I read through some posts on here, instagram and TikTok, yall are pretty brutal towards the writers and CC. Some of you are upset of how horrible and tragic Scullys journey has been but damn. It made for some great television and inspired girls like me!
Same goes for the whole Mulder and Scully Romance. The romantic storyline of their relationship is very porous I'll admit. But it created one of the best TV slow burns. It also got your creative minds at work to fill in the holes with some amazing fan fics and AI videos.
The one thing I will say I was disappointed was the main story/ conspiracy plot. We went from The black oil, Colonists, Rebels, Bounty Hunters and Super Soldiers to the invasion being a human driven conspiracy, a pandemic? Which is kinda crazy because a couple years after the revival, COVID happened 🤯 Not to the shows extreme but you get what im saying.
Im still in the middle of my first full rewatch so I havent made it to the revival part yet to clarify my suspicion of why the change. Has anyone heard if CC addressed the change?
Also once Im done watching ill make a post about Mulder and Scullys relationship, cuz holy moly there is lots I noticed and its a lot to unpack lol
