Looks like Village Grill on Yellowstone has permanently closed according to Google Maps. Very sad news! They were great, very well priced and the people who ran it were the best.
A friend was advertised this on Instagram which might be replacing it: Colombiche artisan coffee (Colombian) with an AI generated post:
Montoya's looks like it's open and they have their menu up at the door. Looked moderately busy but not as full as other places given it's mother's day today.
It's on Metropolitan Ave in the spot formerly occupied by Metro Taco (then METRO by Fabrika for less than a year). Looks like a similar layout like METRO by Fabrika had it. Nice inside, not too big. They also have a back yard apparently. But I didn't go in today.
The owner is the former head chef of 5 Burro on Austin.
A couple of posts from the last few weeks about the place here:

It's in the old TGIF location next to Target and surprisingly big
Excuse the melodramatics but the plot thickens thickly! What are the chances these are from the owner versus the same person messing with us? The pictures are so low res they seem like part of the joke.
Context from yesterday:
The plot thickens. There's an eviction notice on the door of Meli. They did move their furnishings and equipment out weeks ago but maybe they also weren't paying their rent.
Also, the Red Robin sign became a Cracker Barrel sign and today is a Wahlburgers sign. What will Forest Hills Banksy unleash next?
