I’m having a great day and I just wanted to share somewhere. I recently started a group chat to sell vegan food to local covid cautious friends and today I dropped off my first order. I made them chipotle garlic mayo and ranch. They have a free pantry out front so I was also able to leave some masks which was a nice surprise. After that I was able to stop at another friend’s house since they were only 2 minutes away and give them some nutritional yeast, saving them 20 minutes on public transit being forced to be around unmasked people. Then I went to drop off posters and business cards for our local mask bloc at one of our new pickup locations. After that I went to the food bank for myself and the volunteer that was helping me told me that he just went vegan because of a conversation we’d had. Once I got home the person I delivered the mayo and ranch to told me how much they love the mayo. They also said that the ranch is the first condiment their daycare kids can now eat other than ketchup. So I’ll be helping kids eat more veggies. I just feel so fulfilled being a covid cautious vegan and making both lifestyles more accessible to my community.
