Is this amount of fraying on a recurve bow string loop normal?

Hi, I noticed that a lot of fibers started sticking out in the loop area of my bow string. The string fibers were always slightly visible there, but definitely not this much.

The bow behaved normally while shooting.

Is this normal? Is it dangerous and should I replace the string?
