Want to become EMS in Los Angeles
I’m interested in EMS — I saw the fast track program, which is affordable, and wanted a change of pace from my prior career. I made a lot more money in corporate sales but I had less freedom and it’s not as engaging to me.
The idea of working furiously (2 24 hour shifts and a 12 each week) for 4-6 months to take 4-6 weeks off on vacation sounds appealing. I’m youngish, fit, and smart. My friend also added the EMS gives clinical hours which applies towards other programs, or it’s useful to have when considering medicine, fireman, law enforcement, etc.
Am I being horribly unrealistic or can it be done like get the cert in 4 months, get the work & start grinding?
