Sorry in advance if this is TMI. I'm just kinda worried.

I've been masturbating a lot lately (and I didn't really used to) and noticed that one part of my clit hurts a little bit when I touch it. I looked at it and saw a little red cut--nothing major, but I don't want it turning into anything really bad. Is this normal? I don't want to, like, get an infection there or anything, since then I'd have to tell my mom about it. Should I just give it some time to heal?
