Need help with power bill
Hello, unfortunately my car, shared with my wife, died after dropping off my oldest at home today. Lost power and started smoking, the 1k we had saved up went to the alternator just 2 weeks ago, but looks like the engine blew. Rent is behind because of that repair bill, but more urgently the electricity is due Monday. $212 is needed to keep the power on, and we're down to $40 after the tow. We're going to contact local charities for the rent, as they don't open until Monday, so I'm trying to figure out the power bill till then. Only family we have is my MIL who just closed on house and is unable to help. Anything, even advice, is appreciated. DM me for any details. I am employed full time and average 48 hours but I don't get paid until Wednesday. Wife is full time college, as well as home schools our oldest with a disability, so no second income right now. I feel horrible posting this, but desperate to keep the lights on for the family while I figure the rest out.
