Yesterday in Dhaka’s New Market, I was cheated by a shopkeeper. He showed me “branded” shirts with flashy tags and offered a tempting discount. The crowd’s rush made me believe it was a genuine deal, so I bought quickly. When I reached home, I discovered the shirts were cheap imitations with fake labels. I felt humiliated. The busy lanes of New Market hid my loss, teaching me that vigilance is vital in Dhaka’s bazaars.
