I am an Indian. Based in Pune. I moved to a new house last week and somehow misplaced my passport during the shift. I have a visa appointment coming up next week, but I’ll probably have to postpone it now.

I know the first step is filing a complaint at my nearest police station (Alankar Police Station), but after that how difficult is the process of getting a new passport issued in Pune? How long does it usually take?

If anyone here has gone through the lost passport + reissue process recently in Pune, please share your experience and timeline. Would really appreciate any tips as well.
