Is this crease a defect?

I just received these mid-brown pull-up leather Craftsman boots - and both have this vertical crease mark in the front from the fabric pull tag at the top of the front down to the mid-ball of the top of my foot.
Is this normal? It doesn’t match the photos on the website. Will it go away with wear and polishing / conditioning?
