I found a small peanut sized lump in my right breast about 6/7 weeks ago. Found it by accident as I leant on it and felt it poke my arm, didn’t go away so went to GP and was referred to a surgeon.

Waiting for my ultrasound in the next few days and potential biopsy depending on what the radiologist sees. The surgeon said if they don’t feel it needs a biopsy at this appointment, he will do a biopsy anyway in 2 weeks to be safe.

He said it doesn’t feel cancerous but he’s concerned that it didn’t move. He said cancer at my age (33) wouldn’t be unheard of but would be rare and incredibly unlucky. My health is a series of very bad luck so this wasn’t reassuring.

Are doctors always cautiously reassuring? Or was he trying not to stress me? (Because evidently it didn’t work)
