dropping this here in case someone else runs into the same issue.
Tried GGDrop recently out of boredom and opened a few cases. Ended up getting a couple decent skins, so I figured I’d just withdraw them and move on.
That’s where things got weird.
Started the withdrawal, trade was created normally, but then it just kinda froze there with no updates. Waited a bit thinking Steam might be slow or something, but after a while nothing was changing.
Messaged support through chat first. Got replies pretty fast, but they were mostly generic “please wait while it’s being processed” type answers, so not really helpful. Tried again later and it felt pretty much the same.
After a couple days I looked around and found their email support instead. Sent them all the details at once - screenshots, trade ID, timestamps, everything. That actually worked better.
Reply wasn’t instant, but at least it sounded like someone actually checked the case. They asked for a few details, looked into it, and eventually the withdrawal went through. Whole thing took a few days total.
So idk, not saying the platform is perfect or anything - experience was kinda mid overall - but in my case it wasn’t a scam, just annoying to deal with.
If you get stuck like I did: don’t just spam chat - try email instead, send send full info right away (IDs, screenshots, timestamps)
Might save you some nerves 😅
P.S. this isn’t just a GGDrop thing.
If support feels useless - don’t just sit there taking the L. Try other ways, look for a different contact, someone higher up, whatever works. Sometimes that’s the only way to actually get stuff moving.
