For all the last 60 years. But specially now. Especially music. None of it means anything. So many symbols and gimmicks and aesthetics thrown at the wall. And it's so nauseatingly empty. The signs completely divorced from their meaning. And then one trend replaces the other and it's all gone.
What would there even be to be said by the "artists" making this shit? Are they enlightened role models because they found some flashy style? Their personal lives say otherwise. And half of it is not even made by them anyway.
I look at a renowned "artist"'s "abum", and before even listening, I want to puke. I see how desperately it's trying to squeeze aesthetics out of a clear base of nothing. Oh wow, I wonder what the gimmick will be this time. It's genuinely sickening, like being force fed a mix of way too much unrecognizable food.
Then there's "spotify playlists". Ughhh. No I do not want to see your collection of algorithmically curated slop-stimuli that you've set to ironic little nicknames to make people think you're cool. I literally do not care about your hyperniche genre that you only listen to because you've oversaturated your ears past normal, timeless sounds. Fuck off.
I am officially anti-culture and wish not to cultivate anything.
