Hello! My dog - 6y/o, male, 21lb schanuzer/poodle mix - takes a 2.5 mg tablet of Pimobendan 3x a day (6am, 2pm, 10pm) to treat mitral valve regurgitation. This morning, my husband and I accidentally each gave him a pill, so he took a double dose (5g) at his 6am time.

We have a message in to his cardiologist but they are not in on Sundays and it could be a long time before we get an answer.

Is there anything we should be concerned about? And should he receive his next dose at the normal time?
